It is generally recommended to remove the skin of figs before feeding them to parrots. While parrots consume figs as part of their diet, the skin of the fruit may be tougher and harder to digest for them. Peeling the figs before offering them to your parrot is a good practice to ensure their safety and digestion.
Can I feed figs in the skin? Or do they need to be peeled first?

Donnas post is an old one and I don't think she uses our forum now. I slice fresh figs in half and my boys just eat the inside rarely do they nibble the skin part, so maybe they know what's good and not so good for them. In general mine prefer the dried figs also sliced in half and love the seeds inside, as theses are a treat they are not given regularly.
