Looks like just something grabbed as a make do thing to stand on to make the bird feel comfy likelihood is it will be too shocked and tired to chomp on it and they are more likely to have it in a proper cage by now rather than a plastic transporter, but hey any port in a storm great it was taken in quickly
If your correct about the violet ring and it happens to be a PSUK ring then will have a number on it that is traceable via the Parrot Society breeders listings purple would put it at 2015 or 2009 hatching https://theparrotclub.co.uk/community/index.php?threads/leg-ring-identification-information.15153/ might want to tell the vets to have a look at the leg ring numbers and contact PSUK ask them if they have a breeder registered to try and trace who purchased it.
Haven't seen an update yet, its actually our new vets that we've started using for Fern, wish they had an exotic or avian vet!...
Might offer the budgie a home if it doesnt find its owners, I dont know what they'll do with it if no one comes forward... Does anyone know what vets tend to do?
No point him going to a rescue, he may as well come live with my two, Ted will love him haha
