with a kakariki I prefer using parrot safe wood chip, rhey love to scratch the floor looking for seed, it also helps keep there nails in great condition, Kaks are ground feeders

Well I went to pet shop and he when and got a small bag of Guinea pig flooring then proceeded to the till saying £21.95 please. No way was I paying that for a 2kg bag. Guess I'll keep looking.

WOW that's a heck of a price!
I buy a horse bedding bale of shavings for £13 and they are flipping huge! 2 person job to man handle them one fits inside my car with the back seats laid down and the hatchback boot cover removed.
This is not where I buy them from and link is to a smaller bale than I buy hence price difference this one is an 18kg bale but this gives you an idea of the cost they should be https://www.millbryhill.co.uk/equestrian-c4/stockmax-pine-shavings-p14250

Thank you for the info. Yeah I use to have horses many moons ago so I knew that the price was through the roof. I couldn't believe he was charging soo much. Had many a day rolling hay and straw out for the horses, heavy job.

I used to like going out early morning for a gentle hack mist rising off the fields watching the deer hmmmm so relaxing.
Smashing ice in the water trough in a winter time, standing on the muck heap squaring it off with your feet deep in their wellies getting warmed by the manure lol
Hauling out soaked haylage and trying to get the net to hang and drain the excess water out....
The sound of the wickering greeting low, rumble and throaty as you got greeted :)
That lovely smell of saddle soap as you rub it into the leather …. even liked the smell of stock home tar to protect the under sole of the foot and stop the ice and snow welding itself to the shoes of your horse when out and about.
Coming home exhausted but happy shaking shavings out of my wellies and pulling them off my sock hair like a wild banshee …. happy memories of hard work lol
