Fear of fingers

Hi everyone,
My little pidge (IRN) is now amazing at flying to us when we call, landing on our hands, arms, heads anything we ask really. Yet she doesnt like fingers. She can be sitting on my hand next to my fingers but as soon as she sees your finger move or you get to close with fingers she lunges for them.
Is there anything I can do to stop this behaviour?

Quiet normal for birds to find fingers scary, as tame as my Hahn's Macaw is, she prefers to step up onto my fore arm as oppose to my hand. I never force her to step up onto my hand, if she is happier with my arm, then my arm it is for stepping up onto.

Will she take treats from your fingers? Keep pairing them with good experiences such as treats so that she looks forward to them being around. You can also work on desensitizing her to their movement which is gradually introducing her to moving fingers. Be sure to keep her body language as relaxed as possible as you progress. It may take hours, days or even months. Just work on it, now and again in short bursts throughout the day. Sounds like you have worked wonders with her already. Love the pic! :feel_loved:
