@Pepi You need to choose a parrot safe wood, in my case it was a copper beech tree behind my house, apple trees are safe, there is a list somewhere!

I poured boiling water over mine, you can give them a good scrub with F10 disinfectant which is a parrot safe cleaning product/spray and kills off all viruses and bacteria, especially from the wild birds that use the trees!

I left the bark on but my birds are stripping it off nicely and it looks great

@Heather2131 that is amazing stand. I have parrot in love now... kissing the mirror and really my attention is to learn reading him a bit better, so I get bitten less. Your stand looks amazing. I have no tree in my garden so I have to borrow from somewhere but you know can't just go and chop a branch. Got buddleia behind the garden but I don't think is good for the Kak. Still in need of branches will get some when the festive time comes.

Hi Pepi, Buddleia is fine. I have a friend who cuts Buddeia branches for all her parrots to chew every year.

Really :) :) I am so happy I will cut one today. I will still need other branches but that is good start. Thank you.
