Cooling hot rooms

Hi all
Hope everyone is keeping well. Lupin is doing very well at the moment.
The last heat wave has made me think about being more prepared for future hot weather. Do any of you have any recommendation for any fan or those ones that blow out cool water mist? Not really got the space to sort out air con.
 
We're in South West France and while we had temperatures up to 38⁰ last week it will be over 40⁰ in July and August.
Luckily we can open up windows and doors first thing in the morning to get a breeze through, then shut things up a soon as the internal and external temperatures are equal, unless it's really breezy to keep things cooler.
We use ordinary oscillating fans, mainly at night, andif necessary have wet towels draped over bowls. But we don't have the fan blowing directly onto Dora.
