I often visit paradise park but obviously they have been closed and we have been avoiding going out anywhere especially attractions. I have seen a few pleas for help from the park as they are not allowed to open there soft play and that’s what most families go to use. we decided to venture down and see if it was quiet enough for us to want to go in.....errrr yes it was almost bloody empty. I spoke to one of the park rangers who said they are on their knees and it’s shocking that tourists and locals only come for the soft play and cafe and not the amazing park. however my kids have been bought up to enjoy and appreciate animals and we spent over four hours looking around and it was brilliant. i was really surprised to see they let the macaws and some amazons free fly around the park, it was amazing, like being in the jungle. These birds were everywhere and the ranger tapped the food bowls and every last one came bolting straight into the cage it was great to watch 15 macaws come zooming over our heads. the ranger said they all have gps trackers on and they have been doing loads of training to enable them to be out, he said we aren’t allowed to do our shows etc and we had to do something to make people want to come in. He said its bought in some bird fanatics etc but the general public want soft play and food not bird displays. It’s sad times for all our zoos and parks etc And Im praying paradise park doesn’t close down as it is a truly lovely place.599D98B8-C0A7-4FE9-B585-38752F06D319.jpeg64CD40E9-BBD5-4149-B265-363660B83E0D.jpegE8D5969A-8559-43CD-8883-B1DCF6BBF8F9.jpegB27C77AE-BEE5-4DB0-9C46-E0EFCAB53805.jpeg0ECA09D8-916E-4262-9DB2-E1056FBFEACF.jpeg

It sounds like you had an amazing time. Must have been so nice seeing the free flying Macaws and Amazons. How sad the park is suffering financially though. Love the pictures!!

Love to hear abut Paradise Park I remember when it began (yes long time ago!) sadly never been as it's a very long way from here.
Sad state of affairs when the general public only seem to want soft play and food, we can only hope things improve.
