conure toe injury??

So my gcc's cage can be opened from the top, and today while I was about to put her back, the top fell closed on her (it's usually held open by a perch, but I took it out cause like I said I was about to put het back in the cage and I turned away for like 30 seconds) and one of her toes got stuck. She doesn't seem to have any problems other than the fact she doesn't use her toe to climb. She puts her toe on top of the perch, not around, as well.

When she's on a flat surface, she stands on it and all. She eats, chirps, talks, she's not fluffed up, she seems okay.

The only thing is that she has a red line on her toenail. The toe isn't discolored. I will attach pictures. I called the vet, but they're busy today. Is this really bad? Or is she okay just a little injury?

I wrote this like 5 mins ago. Since then I've been seeing her picking up her leg, but she doesn't make a sound when I touch her toe. I'm super worried.IMG_20250417_122612.jpgIMG_20250417_104120.jpg

I'm no expert but from your photos it doesn't look swollen or bruised to me. If the vet is busy anyway you could make an appointment and then cancel it if she proves to be fine in the morning.
I understand your worry, but these things happen, and this forum is super good at giving you reassurance and support.

The red line through the nail is supposed to be there it's the blood supply and nerve inside the toe. If you trap a digit then you get a bruise.
Even if she broke the toe there's nothing that can be done to repair it in extreme circumstances they remove it. Most a vet would likely do is give pain meds if it were extreme and wait and see what happens with and over the next few days.
It looks like soft tissue damage to me in that it's bruised not using it as normal would be the thing to do. Example if you shut your finger in a door frame by accident your not going to want to use it for a day or two and will automatically protect it from use by just doing things differently until the pain subsidies.

I totally forgot to reply to this haha. She was....completely fine. There was absolutely nothing wrong. She was just being dramatic😭.The vet gave her some pain meds and she absolutely loved the taste of it. She's all good now!!
