Yes, I could Shirley but they are over 50 miles away, that is the problem, everything is so far away from here. A day in Oban would be great but the birdies would be on their own all the time and I am not happy about that, if I was not so blooming soft I would not have such big problems with Oscar.

Bless we are all softes with our feathered friends especially me Scooby gets away with a lot and through it he's become stubborn [emoji4]typical mail [emoji16] so try not to worry hmm i know easer said than done lol .

Oh Kendra I may joke about but I can see your dilemma. and underneath the jokes there is a serious side and that is both your and your animals safety. well you paint a good pitcher of what happened yesterday and some of the answers to this birds problems are basically answered bye all what happened. (now would I laugh) yes Oscar needed to stretch his legs and I am sure his adventures will show up in most places he has been. as these birds love using there beaks. I fill for the position you have found your self in having a bird trying to attack is not funny especially one known for the way it bites. Just wondering if you got the air purifier on or did you abandon it?

the lights was a good idea and trying to get the place dark in other areas that you did not want Oscar to be in normally works but you may of given Oscar too many carrots and this made him see in the dark :risas3: but darkness dose not worry my Buster either, as he would rather head for something to chew than for a lit area.

Will I am pleased you only let him have parrot friendly plants but I fill sorry for the plants but on the positive side Oscar did calm down.
Settling in the pot well he must of love the fill of the earth and this must of been either a new experience for him or one he remembers from his past. well He was certainly happy with his adventures by then.

What did you do for dinner? so you made a dash for the other room. that white blob did want you I agree but may be it was not too attack you although I do not blame you for not taking the risk of Oscar attacking again. I am trying to picture your place the telephone was in bedroom off the computer room Oscar was in the plant pot in the computer room and you had to get past him. I would of used the bedding as protection not only for your self but also to get Oscar at that point. I would of not gone out the window

Well the yellow jacket may of helped as he could see you a mile away and you did not startle him, but I am sure he wanted you to pick him up and this is the problem. he wants company and attention but he is also frightened and aggressive. this bird may seem like a problem bird but I think that because you was protected (plus a little angry) that you did not show fear and Oscar was then putty in your arms

well at least you got his cage clean and managed to feed your dog so it was not a wasted evening

@michaelreynolds you may have hit the birdie on the head, he does want company yet is acting angry. His cage is a wreck again within 24 hours, first thing he did when he went back was throw his seed bowl on the floor. He let me change his food bowl without any trouble, I just kept talking to him while I did it. He has now seen Corkey the cockatiel and sits and stares at him so Corkey has gone into hiding.

Air purifier, with the door open into the main house the room would soon cool down so left it off. My tea? ended up without, just could not be bothered to start again. Not sure about love of the plants, he could see me through the window when I went the long way into his room, I only have parrot safe plants in the house and they do not matter. I was not angry by 4.00am, I was totally fed up and thinking I am not going to be ruled by a white 9" imp :watchout:.

The new cage will be coming tomorrow so will have to start building that, if I do it infront of Harry she will be in it before it is finished , I do not understand but none of the birds here bother over their own cage except Tommy, but I feel Tommy has been lacking in security for a long time. Unless Harry takes an instant dislike to the new one, would be just my luck :buenrollo:

14 is fat when you are less than 5' and your standard size was an 8 before they messed around with the sizing, thank you for the offer

Just bought the first part of the armour from ebay, a pair of ladies leather bikers gloves, :aaaaa:

Will send picci when they arrive,

And I thought you was going to get chainmail gloves to go with you hat......... well bye to time you get all your armour together you wont need it as Oscar will become so sweet and gentle................................................. until you take the armour off

I know Michael, I have to extract him from his cage and persuade him into another in the next day or two:thinking:, likelihood of this happening?

To be honest I don't think you will have much problem getting him out of on cage in to another Kendra but you may have a problem getting to stay in the new cage as his beak might be firmly attached to you

I thought it was just me that thought Cockateil ....
Kendra ...who is the little chap / chapess in the piccie?

It actually is an advert I found, they are wanting $24 per piece, what is that in English?, not cheap anyway. I was hoping Michael would not notice at first, but is probably a cockatiel. So it is now being sold as a foraging mat for parrots, soon catch on in the UK. It has been a god send for Oscar, keeps him busy, catches some food he flings, I was worried he would not eat enough and most of all there is no sign of him chewing or shredding it to make a nest. May put some in with the wee ones, see if they enjoy it, you have started something now Michael, could even carpet the kitchen in it, then Dusky may stop tearing up the vinyl. !!!.
