Celebrating progress with my bird!

Good morning beautiful parrot ppl!

This morning I have been doing some positive training with Tango. He is able to sit on my hand for minutes at a time now and eat out of my hand! He confuses my fingers with his treat, but hes very gentle, and hes starting to realise I will do him no harm.

Im very proud of him!

So pleased to see he has a lot of freedom, the cage is only good to house his feed and water or for traveling, I used to free fly my rosella but he did have a partner that he will always come back too

Of course! I'd never lock up a parrot of mine, unless Im out for a couple of hours so I know hes safe. Im inside of my room most of the times anyways. When Im home he sleeps ontop of his cage and flies around my room, and wow, didnt think u would be able to free fly a rosella!

Do you think I should get Tango a partner once he is more comfortable in this environment? Of course not too soon, he's still getting used to me.

he is very young, looks to you at the moment as his partner, so much will depend on how happy he stays as he gets mature. I have quite a large flock that have taken over my home, each bird has a friend or two apart from a few that only want me.
