Hi and welcome.  

We have Peanut (BHC) been with us one week and is now 17 weeks old.  Absolutely love Caiques.

They look wonderful.

Hello and welcome to the forum They are fantastic birds and I can see why you love them so much.  I call them the clowns of the parrot world and such a lovely colouring they have.  love the video its so nice seeing them play together.  I have never seen a green thighed .  GTC dose that stand for golden toped caique?

Welcome - excellent video. I like caiques (my "Other Central and South American Parrots Collection" in Parrot Media posted a couple of weeks ago had quite a few photos of them if you are interested), they always seem to be up to something.

Hi Michael, no it stands for Green Thighed Caique. This is the nominate or parent species from south of the Amazon

The Black headed is from North of the Amazon and is recognised as a separate species

I have 11 now. Average age about 3.5 years, though theres 3 new babies

hi I handrear a lot of birds and one of the first birds I hand reared and I still have fully weaned and they are so funny they wrestle together and hang off a branch with only 1 leg
