Looking for recommendations Are Rainforest bird cages any good, as we were advised not to go for Liberta

I have liberta cages and haven't had any issues with them
Rainforest and Liberta are owned by the same company Sky Pet Products.

I have had both would say the liberta cages seem less quality than the rain forest but PLEASE PLEASE don't buy a rainforest cage with this style food doors.received_3480299175380125.jpeg

Sorry to hijack the thread, what is wrong with these food doors? Is it because their little feet can get stuck behind the bowls?
Our new parrotlet cage came and it has this style of door, her water is the only thing in them at the moment as she prefers food bowls on the floor of the cage.

Worried now and kicking myself for not checking thoroughly the door style 🤦🏼‍♀️

That looks like the Bolivia, I have those too but for Senegals & Moustached Parakeet. The Georgia is bigger and the top opens.
If it wasn't for covid you could pop across the Cleddau and come look. I would not want to put a Grey in a Bolivia.

We have a rainforest cage for our grey Bo, his is the style where one side is taller and it has a play top perch.
I like his cage for him at the moment as his breeder clipped him so he has loads of room but different levels to help him move about. It’s taller than me and i almost have to fully climb in to clean the opposite corner 😂
I have had no issues with our rainforest cage and we like it 🙂

I have done a bit of digging round some sites (and roped the boyf into getting the tape measure out haha) and I think we have the rainforest liberta angel for Bo at the minute, it works well however he has had this since he came home with us and he has filled out a lot now! I remember when he looked so tiny in there🥰

This isn’t his long term cage however and i have had a look at the rainforest castello 2 because this is super big and the divider is removable.
But we do have the angel one, it’s served us well and we have had no issues so far, we have changed all the perches inside though, just personally don’t feel like it’s his forever home 🙂

@Terry556 I have a feeling the cage you posted up is the Rainforest Dakota and not the Bolivia which I mentioned, in which case the Dakota would be suitable. Below is the Rainforest Georgia we have. It only has 2 feeders and I have a hook on stainless steel one to make a third.

Ive heard the rainforest ones are better quality than the liberta cages however i have the liberta raleigh 2nd edition cage for my african grey and i dont really have any complaints about it. If i had seen a rainforest one at the same time that was also a very good price though i would have went with the rainforest one

This was my experiences a few months ago and ended up with a second hand cage as Sky would not send me parts to make a complete unbent cage as in their eyes I had been sent two (both bent) and would not take the 20 quid offered to put up with a damaged one.

I was really surprised that the main structure of the cage is now so thin, no wonder they arrived bent. Deffo not what they were. Is the cage a Dakota? If so the one I had problems with. The Georgia has or is being discontinued. I have two and they are OK.

Best of luck!
