Hi and :welcome: to our forum based here in the UK.

Colour changes may indicate some nutritional deficiencies...Amazon parrots need plenty of Vitamin A - so you could try increasing the food sources in the diet to include more of the items high in that vitamin such as carrot, sweet potato, kale, spinach, red pepper, mango and apricots, chilli also dandelion leaves- but ensure they are free from pesticides.

Has he had a moult recently...as that does cause quite a bit of stress he n their system, so perhaps a vitamin supplement would help.

I don't know if you have an Avian specialist vet local to you, or one who would give advice over the phone, but it might be a good idea if you can to arrange for a general health check up.

Are you able to post a picture...we love to see member's birds anyway, but a close up of the head to show the issue may help us with other advice.

:welcome: I have a B/F the same age but haven't noticed any colour change or heard of it before.
Can you post up a photo please

A good shower was apparently in order!
Who knows what this stinker got into.
He had his shower but it still looked very bad. Later in the day it looks a little better. Still some grey but it does s now clear that it was not the feathers.
I was so scared. No am so embarrassed!

Is he close to the kitchen or does anyone smoke in the home? Only asking because these things can discolour a birds feathers x
They do need to have regular showers :)

What a lovely blue front he is. His colours look fine.

Does he have some vits i.e. Neutrobal or Avipro a pinch on his food a couple of times a week may well help especially when they moult.

Hi and welcome to the forum from me and my gang :)
You have to smile when they get up to mischief and you suddenly look up and think :yikes: my birdie is sooooo ill look at the colour of that poop ..... ok hmmmm forgot they had pomegranate today ..... heavens bleeding to death .... errrr ooopsy nope that will be the raspberries. Arrrgh horrible strange noise ...... ok so they are now imitating something from the tv :BangHead: am surprised we're not all having nervous breakdowns 24/7 :) really glad your beauty is just being a little minx and not actually ill. :besos:

Sounds like it is showing its under grey feathers that may mean your bird has plucked the chest and its green feathers out or its going through a severe moult
