Birds Perching on Top of the TV

I've tried numerous things in the past to keep my birds off the TV and pooping down the back. A while agoI finally found something that works and doesn't look unattractive. I use an eaves protector which I got from Amazon. It's attached to a piece of timber, which is attached to the wall. The birds have tried to land on it, but they slip, and quickly gave up trying. I've attached some pictures and a link to the product. I now possess a poop free television.

Amusingly, I am looking up now at Chocobo who is perched on top of my TV as I type this.

With my previous plasma screen TV, I had to construct a shelf to prevent birbs perching on it as poop dropping down through teh cooling grill into the electronics of the TV was a no-no.
My current monitor is a modern Smart TV, slimmer and with no exposed electronics. It's harder to perch on - the budgies have given up on it and Chocobo is a rare visitor these days - and its not vulnerable to the poop!

Excellent idea.
Personally I don't have the issue as my tv isn't wall mounted and it's on a tv stand so lower than all the other furniture so my lot aren't interested in sitting on it thankfully

That's a good idea. When our Gary was a young'un he landed on the tv and promptly bit through the screen That was an amusing call to PC World tech insurance to claim for a new flatscreen telly!
