Do I need to cook beetroot first? How much should I give in a week?
We get cabbage left over now and then and I don't bother giving it to the parrots as i believe it's literally got nothing good in it,and I right?

The cabbage leaves if rinsed under the tap they often bath in it and may chew a little. The chickens will eat it they enjoy green stuff. Have tried beetroot both ways and mine don't like it.

Have you tried Luna with the thin strips in a Beetroot salad bag? These washed are a good intro to this veg. Cabbage I tend to lightly steam and chop up as this makes is easier to eat.

Ri will only eat beetroot if I roast chunks of it. He's so fussy with his raw veg.

mine like it raw but they can get a little red in there feathers. I have never cooked beetroot but most of the flock love it
