Hi guys,

I have a pair of indian ringnecks.

I want to set up an aviary outside. The person who is to do the job has suggested the following set up attached.

Can I please see pictures of aviaries so I can get a better understanding on what to do as going forward I want 2/3 more pairs!

Kind regards,

My aviary is a double meshed aluminium European weld 10 x 12 foot aviary.
Your aviary construction materials depend obviously on the species for how much they destroy chewing and also beak power and head size.
I double meshed mine so nothing can get to my birds not even having a foot nipped is possible.
Also with bird flu egg you need to be mouse free and able to stop wild bird contaminants. So mine has a polycarb roof that slots into place.
A safety porch is an absolute must as is a sheltered roost area for night time sleeping plus shelter from the weird UK weather.

Hi, thank you so much. Is it possible if you could please provide photos. It would be so helpful please

My roof is covered by polycarb sheets on top of the double meshed panels. Bird flu went crazy around us the year before last fingers crossed there has thus far only been one reported case in the country and that was about 20 miles from me.
The roof can easily be slid off so I will likely take it off if we ever get to the point of not having torrential rain and a spot of sun!
