Especially Leicestershire/ Northamptonshire please?
Thank you

Have you joined any Budgie groups/clubs? They would be the ones to know. I would assume probably not until the spring now though?

No, I'm very new to world of birds! Is there one you could recommend please? X

Hun I have a Goffins and Rose Breasted Cockatoo and a Conure but no budgies. You would need to seek like minded budgie keepers to learn the info you want. We may have some budgie keepers on later than will help?

Search on our friend Google for Budgerigar Society - they are in Northampton.

the other thing you will need to think about is what type of budgie do you want? there are 2 distinct 'types' show or exhibition budgies are bred year round (indoors) and are larger flashier birds that are a more impressive physical presence... but they are in my opinion inclined to be rather less intelligent, less lively and less 'hardy' . aviary bred budgies are birds that live out year round and are smaller, slimmer and fiesty. they breed seasonally- ie not in winter!!! they are in my opinion a lot more intelligent and a lot more robust health wise,
both types come in pretty much every colour you can imagine. me I would not recommend hand reared in budgies as its not necessary- as long as you get just fledged they are very easy to tame and the benefits of being parent reared are massive.

Thank you ☺ I prefer the non show type tbh. Not too fussed on colour. Health and disposition are more important to me.
I noticed a few hand reared ones for sale ans wondered what the benefits were...yoy've answered that for me !! Thanka

Siz fir typos. Am dogsitting and have a lovely young dobermann clamberinb over me

to be honest I always wonder whether the 'hand reared' ones really are as budgies are so very easy to tame if very young , particulary the boys- little hens are more resistant but really at right age they are pretty easy. find it hard to believe anyone would deliberately hand feed a baby budgie (unless an orphan) as its just not needed. main thing is its a very young baby, just weaned- older ones are less amicable to whole thing
