Been an interesting week, my girl has been quite clingy so have had some cuddle time. She has not liked visitors to the house, they get hissed at. Not sure what is going on in her head but wondering if she thinks they have come to take her away somewhere? She didn't do this in her early days with us. Gosh I hope that she doesn't think that now she has settled and is happy she will be snatched away? Food for thought, what does go through their little heads?

Lou has a new toy; an activity centre made to order by Karen at The Natural Bird Product Company

I love it, it's fabulous. Will you please show your birdie friends and let then know where to buy from, I cannot thank Karen enough. :)

This looks excellent, wonder if something like this would deter Lucy from dismantling everyone else's cage?

Well a bit of an update we passed Lou's one year Gotcha on 14th June, gosh that has passed quickly. She has really settled in nicely, waits in the evening and morning on entering and exiting her night cage for a kiss or two. It's good not to have to risk losing your nose anymore :) She still isn't happy at visitors and will hiss. We had another blood feather event but no so bad, I am on tenterhooks as she has so many coming in at the moment, everything crossed! I think she is eating better, just not when I am around LOL.

@Michael Reynolds Lou is so full of blood pins, which is making her mum a bit jittery. She is very much 'my girl' now and likes to come and sit on me, usually close to my face or maybe on my leg. Whether the fact that she has settled fully is making things a bit better I don't know? She will always pull and snip those feathers IMHO but a little improvement would certainly please me :)
