Take care with additives in drinking water especially in this hot weather as it becomes a breeding ground very quickly. With the correct diet your parrot can improve steadily. Quick fixes are not to be recommended. I took on a RB2 in March that had been fed basically sunflowers seeds for a year (or poss longer) and had her wing feathers hacked. She is improving very well on a good diet; veggies - mashes, chop, raw, some Harrisons pellets (when she will eat them) and a little seed in her night cage. Good luck.
Ps it may be a good idea to have a avian vet check your ammie over to see if there are any other issues that need seeing to. Certainly if your parrot has not had a health check then it would be a good idea.
