Any feathers left over will be kept for the next little feathered beauty in need of assistance
This forum's members are awesome Each and everyone of your thank you for sending these feathers the owner of the bird in question will be elated and I thank you from the bottom of my heart on their behalf for your generosity and kindness towards another by sending these feathers to help their baby.
Hope all goes well with using the feathers on the birdie in question. Will collect all that my birds give me!!

Thank you to the person who sent wing feathers but didn't put their name on the envelope, have a feeling it may have been Jules (jaspers mum) received safe and sound this morning.
The feathers are now on the way to the vets to be sorted and prepared ready for the imping process. Will let you all know when that is and how it all goes
Thank you all once again for stepping up to help a feathered beauty have the opportunity to get natures gift of flight back.

I sent a bag full! enclosing wing feathers,
So I hope they were received as you said " there were so many , you thought my bird was in there"
I hope these presious items have been used and saved for other birds in need , as I was told.
I hope all goes well with the implanting
that was so nice of you Nickey. well it was not me but I am starting to save some
Hi Nicky ...yes your feathers gratefully received and will be a great help for this and future procedures.
It was good t have a number of people responding as we needed all the primaries for the left hand side... and as each feather is a slightly different size and shape we were concerned in case we couldn't get a full set!
For anyone who has an interest...DizzyBlue posted this very interesting thread-
Hi, yes it was me, I was in such a rush I forgot to put my name and add a note. Hope they are ok and can be of use, I think most were in pairs
They were brilliant thank you Jules
Dusky Grey has not had a full moult since he came to attack me 18 months ago, he is that mean he will not give anything away, sorry.
I don't keep feathers but from now on I will if it means doing something like this with them well done everyone xx
Feathers are now with the vet being sorted and prepared for the imping process the week after next and it will be fingers crossed for success.
It's thanks to you lovely peeps sending all those special feathers that the bird gets that special chance
Will keep you all posted as to how things go.
I'm going to keep collecting the perfect moulted feathers from all my flock and keep donating them to which ever vets need them to give another feathered beauty or tow a chance of getting back what should never have been taken away
If I get any further requests from vets for something specific I will let you know to see if anybody wishes to join in help
