A question about oil painting

hello everyone!
I recently got a conure and so far it has been going well, but I am concerned about painting near him.
His cage is placed in my art room, on the opposite side of where my easel and desk are. I usually do pencil drawings, water colours or digital art but I was hoping to do more oil paintings. My problem is that im not sure if the fumes that oil paint give off is toxic to birds. I know there are many toxic solvents, but I myself dont use them as they give me really bad headaches. I use oil paints, Liquin and Walnut oil. Does anyone know if these things are okay to use in close proximity to the bird? I have tried searching around on the internet but havent really gotten a clear answer. Any help would be appreciated. :) - Olly

Hello and Welcome, This is a good question, I wonder if we have any other budding artists with birds that know the answer, I will tag @DizzyBlue to see if she knows the answer or can direct you to finding out.

:welcome: I cannot answer your question either, but until we find out it will be safer not to use them.

For in-depth knowledge of chemical composition would have to know exact brand.
But a quick scan through various oil paints and what the fumes emitted .... Sorry it's a Timmy Time Out not safe for birdies so you'll be painting alone and the paints apparently take weeks sometimes months to dry ...... So no birdie in room
