Yesterday we went to the emmerdale village tour. We arrived earlier than we were booked in for but not too early. When we parked the car it was all gravel on the car park. (Usually you go by coach to the village but they do allow you to drive your car if you are needing a wheelchair). Roy went to have a word with our tour guide to see if anyone can move my wheelchair and Roy will carry me until we get to the smooth ground. I did not expect what was coming next ............ he said right I am now going to do something we have never done before. He said if you want park behind the Woolpack in the village and get me out there where it is smoother and I will do a private tour for you. He goes will that be ok with you, well I couldn't hide the fact that I was sooo happy . I just smiled at the man and he took that as a massive Yes!
Even the cast are not allowed their own cars on the village set.
Our guide was brilliant and he totally understood my situation. He went above and beyond to make my day special. I feel so lucky.
We did the studio tour too which was brilliant.
