A Experience I Will Always Remember

Yesterday we went to the emmerdale village tour. We arrived earlier than we were booked in for but not too early. When we parked the car it was all gravel on the car park. (Usually you go by coach to the village but they do allow you to drive your car if you are needing a wheelchair). Roy went to have a word with our tour guide to see if anyone can move my wheelchair and Roy will carry me until we get to the smooth ground. I did not expect what was coming next ............ he said right I am now going to do something we have never done before. He said if you want park behind the Woolpack in the village and get me out there where it is smoother and I will do a private tour for you. He goes will that be ok with you, well I couldn't hide the fact that I was sooo happy :aaaaa:. I just smiled at the man and he took that as a massive Yes!

Even the cast are not allowed their own cars on the village set.
Our guide was brilliant and he totally understood my situation. He went above and beyond to make my day special. I feel so lucky.
We did the studio tour too which was brilliant.

Well I think that the personal touch that you received was so nice and also one you deserve. it things like this that make the stupid and arrogant people you meet look even more stupid. why cant every one be kind and thoughtful and I know it made your day but I am sure he felt far better after providing the personal touch.

Jess is resting at the moment and say's thanks for all the lovely comments and all being well she is hoping to log in tomorrow to speak to all her friends on here.

It was an amazing day and there are more pics from another trip we had to the studio tour (the above pics are from the village tour) from last month which Jess will post at a later date.

Filming takes place 6 to 8 weeks in advance, so there are a few spoiler alerts in the above pics,

David's brand new van and the new name for the garage car work shop.

I personally don't watch the program, so I've not got a clue who is who or what building it what :emoji_blush:

Well its been years since I had seen Emerdale on TV but I knew straight away that that is where you went. I have often gone to Bus Farm and shown some of the classic cars I have had this was the setting for "The Darling Buds of May" I always love the views of the country side (I think it was that I lived in London) and now I am so pleased I live in a beautiful part of it.

Thank you so much all of you. Did you know you are the first people I told about my tour and showed my photos too :). I had to share them with you all as I see you all as my family. Then Roy put them on Facebook after you have seen them on here.
I'm absolutely tired but it was definitely worth it. It was quite a long journey but being a morning tour I got back to my babies late afternoon.
I still feel like it was all a dream. It was most certainly a day I will treasure for the rest of my life.

@dianaT my car still has cracks but hoping to get it sorted November time. At least you can't see them on the photo's lol.

Thank you @RoyJess for taking me to Emmerdale Village and the studios. I know you don't watch Emmerdale or any other soaps and you drove a long way just to take me there and you had to listen about all this information that you had no clue about. You done all this for me. Thank you and I love you xxxxx
