    Poor Ben

Benson, my 34 year old safe house OWA, was rushed to the vet yesterday. He had not eaten since early Sunday and was not verbal at all, both unusual for him as these were his two favourite pastimes. The vet rang me this evening to say that permission had been given by the bird rescue for Ben to...

    Hopper

Hopper our rabbit, passed away tonight in Natalie's arms. He had a run around the garden this evening and then came in and laid down. We noticed that he had not moved for a long time and we believe that he had a heart attack or a stroke as he was unable to move, he did not seem to be suffering...

    New Toy For Ollie

Ollie is scared of anything new, he visibly jumps and runs to hide. Today he surprised me :) I had bought a Nobbly Wobbly from Scarlett, poked nuts and other little treats inside and hung it in his cage. He has not left it alone :) And it was a bargain as well

    Parrot Proof Food Bowls

Basil, since we decided to give him a home is being very naughty, I am sure he is just testing us to see what he can get away with. For the past three days, he has upturned both his food bowls as soon as I have given him fresh food. I have tried putting the bowls in the bottom of his cage but he...

    I Have Decided

Ollie was being a nuisance today, whilst I was trying to prepare the veg for dinner. So I popped him into the big cage in the other room with food and water. He was in there for about three hours and didn't want to come out, absolutely loved the boing and generally behaved himself. When Sid...

    Sid's Wings

Not quite sure if this is the right place or not. Sid often sits with his wings dropped down to completely cover his tail. Is this normal and a sign of him being relaxed ?

    Some Advice Please

What perches and how many do you have in double cages ? I am hoping that after the initial introduction and period of getting to know one another that Sid and Zippy will be able to share a cage. How many perches will they need if they are able to share ?
