My green cheek conure is acting wild even after being hand tamed for over a year

Adding that training is a great way to build trust. Does he take treats from you? I’d start target training. Inside or outside the cage - whichever is more comfortable for you both. The great thing about training is that he slightly has to go outside his comfort zone (touching the target) which...

    Nutriberry Availability

Ooops, I didn't read page one. I would ring Northern Parrots and ask them. They are really helpful. In the past I've got Cockatiel Nutriberries when the Parrot ones were out of stock. The former were just slightly smaller. I wonder if your guys could manage Parrot Nutriberries?

    Nutriberry Availability

Pamela Clark says the Original Nutriberries are one of the lowest in carbs/energy of pellet type foods. Avicakes are even lower. She absolutely recommends both. Her own birds eat them. Unfortunately only Kobe likes them but I’m trying to get the others interested.

How To Tame A Rosella Parrot?

Hi @Oliver! What is the bird’s name? Will he eat millet spray if you put it in his cage? What foods does he like best? The best way to train is to find a food they really like then slowly teach them to take it from your hands perhaps through the bars of the cage first where they will feel safer...

Experienced Bird owner seeks friendly advice

:welcome: @BobbySammy@85 So sorry about your Cockatiel’s toe. Is he on Metacam/Meloxicam? Thankfully it doesn’t taste bad at all. Chico my elderly Panama Amazon is taking that now for his arthritis and eye. Will your ‘tiel eat anything wet… like plain yogurt or drink anything? For Chico I am...

    My problem child....

:welcome: Sounds like you've got your hands full there! Wonderful advice already! It's absolutely great she can fly around like she is, to get rid of all that pent up energy! Parrots are sociable/flock creatures so they do prefer being with their humans. A lot of screaming can occur when their...

    Jester Clown New Member

Well done for being so beautifully patient with her!! Remember what you did to encourage her back in… was it putting in her food bowl? Next time will be easier and faster. If she came down to eat, which is what it looks like in the pictures, next time try letting her out an hour or so before...

    Dehumidifier

It’s not huge at all. It sometimes collects a lot of water. I usually empty it once a day although it turns itself off when full. Very easy to empty.

    Dragon Fruit

I love persimmons - M&S also has those. I'm sure I saw Dragon Fruit there the other day although the Asda ones sound excellent! Yes, lychee seem to have petered out.

    Dehumidifier

Wera I have this one for the conservatory which was getting black mould. I tend to turn it off during the day as Bobbie likes to be in there, and run it during the night: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00474K8SY/?th=1 It's brilliant but note it's for 20 square metres, whereas the one you...

    Dragon Fruit

I saw a kumquat the other day... I think it was in M&S. Not just one - a collection of them! :pancarta: Mind you the weather has been so bad this winter, fruit and veggies are always on the thin side here as the boats can never dock.
