thank youwelcome. your burdies are beautiful
thanksHi and welcome to the forum lovely flock you have there
thanks. Ive tried to take another photo of Tookis eyes, they are more or less black. I dont mind either way, just wondered how much truth there was in it.Hi and , I have a ducorp too called Gizzie. They are lovely too species.
Gizzie was dna'd before he came to me. The guy that rescued him had him sexed before I took him on. He said it's not possible to tell the sex with Ducorps as they both look the same. But I could be wrong. It is up to you if you do the same.
Here is a good websites that I trust and recommend

Your flock are gorgeous by the way.
thanks for your reply. Tooki is 3 years old now and im going to assume hes male. Would like to find out what sex people thought Herbie my senegal is but might have to start a new thread!Hello and welcome, the iris of the eye of all young Ducorps is brown in colour and only as the bird matures do you see the male iris become black. I hope that helps solve the confusion. the only way of finding the sex of an immature bird is by DNA.
hope these pics are ok,can you show the underside colouring near the vent, I had done a post reply in the past regarding the senegals I have had with me and showing the difference between a male and female with photos
thats what i thought i just wasnt sure if it was true about the colouring. Shes now Herbie Girl instead of Herbie Boy! Thanks for your help.with that amount of green I think you have a female
