@Heather2131 Yes, the curriculum in maths is tougher now but I think we are using better teaching approaches. Hopefully future adults will be much more competent in maths than previous generations. I wish I'd been taught using these approaches, I'm enjoying learning along with the children!
 
Well I'm pleased you like the new approaches to teaching maths, perhaps I'd be better at maths if I'd been taught like that! I found it very difficult
 
Me too! It was too abstract. Everything now taught with understanding with a big focus on reasoning and problem solving. The children love it!
