I am sorry for your loss, Thanks for posting the warning. However I have one of these for Jingles, and will continue to use it, as at the end of the day, one accident isn't enough to not use a toy, if we where to risk asses things too far then the birds would be sat in cages bored with no toys.

she may like the feeling of the seed on her feathers? has she always done it or is it a new habit, I would maybe offer her a bath when she does it, or is it alot

I would say concrete would be best for cleaning as grass maybe boggy and would be very hard to clean and maybe easier for rodents to get into the aviary

its a preference of mine, if I notice rust I would replace the cage :)

But I don't want them in small cages either as I am against that, they both come out daily, but the cage is where they play/spend time mostly isn't it
