Don’t know! There was a large bumble bee flying around my front garden yesterday desperate for some pollen to eat.the mild weather has brought them out, and brought us migratory birds already ...but know we’ve this cold snap again.

Try putting a shallow small dish with some sugar dissolves in water by the bee, hopefully it will take some then fly off and find some shelter.

It won’t harm you, bees seldom sting unless threatened, unlike wasps which seem to sting whatever!

Thanks Tomsmum. Yeah its snowing a blizzard...so hopefully if i do see it i would offer a sugary treat. Im hoping itd not a queen as they are sort of very rare...i think? Hope it survives because of the snow. Such weird weird weather!

If you have honey a little of that maybe put on a leaf will suffice. But it needs to stay sheltered away from the snow for now I would think, if at all possible. Sometimes when they are busy drinking the honey off a leaf you can gently lift it and move it to a sheltered spot.

The wild birds are nesting already, I found a broken sparrow egg by the dairy door yesterday .

The poor birds are probably thinking it is now or never at this rate! Seen a hedgehog already and have his box out with food. Don't think too keen on the Jeyes Fluid pong from cleaning though, even though well rinsed off and dried? Much hog poo dried on as I left it out until nearly Christmas because it was still being used.
